VOGUE PARIS, GRAFFITI COUTURE!

For their November issue Vogue Paris commissioned Kaws to decorate their “Graffiti-Couture” Photoshoot. The shoot features model Raquel Zimmerman in front of some Graffiti backgrounds with Kaws artwork added on top of the pictures.
I had to include this photo shoot within my research. I love the poses and the personality which is expressed throughout the models. After looking at these photos I started doing some sketches of poses inspired by this shoot for my own.

I like how the location not only adds to the concept of the collection but the model is actually using it as a prop to enhance the view of the clothing.

Another aspect I particularly liked about this photo shoot was how an artist called Kaw has added artwork on top of the pictures. This adds an interesting 3 dimensional effect to the photos. However this does make them slightly more stylised and not so earthy like the location.

I will definitely take inspiration from this however the whole point of my look book photo shoot is to express Marc Jacob's therefore this shoot is far too stylised and doesn't express the natural essence of Marc Jacob's, which is what I intend to focus on.
